safety first

I can tell you form experience ALWAYS wear your safety equipment while in a stand. a home made tree stand i was hunting in broke at the weld. 2 surgeries on a broken left arm and 1 surgery on my left knee (torn acl among other problems) what is bad i had just taken the Oklahoma hunter safety course so i could go to Colorado to elk hunt. being 45 years old i thought accidents happened to other hunters. WRONG !!!! I have heard alot of bad stories since my accident. I cant stress safety enough. dont chance it !

And to add to this i had hunted out of this stand several times, and even had killed a buck out of it the weekend before
