| Nice article, Winkler. I'm not surprised to hear that the root of the issue behind winter kill is habitat loss. It's great that there are emergency feeding programs in place right now, but as that article suggests, it's just like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound. Ultimately the issue of land conservation needs to be addressed, and wildlife population sustainability will follow. |
