| I've had several epic days for eyes when the wind was blowing so hard we couldn't get the boats in the water. We waded out on a sand bar about belly deep and would cast crawlers as far as we could. Our setup consisted of a 1-2oz pyramid sinker with a hook tied about 30" above weight. We absolutely killed the wipers and eyes all day long. I completley agree that rough water can disorient bait fish where waves are crashing. This provides a nice buffet for a feeding frenzy...
