| Glad to hear you're putting in the work it requires to have a good hunting companion. I've got a yellow lab named Rex who's 5 years old. I've put a ton of time in training him and it's paid off bigtime. He's literally had thousands of birds shot over him and I couldn't even begin to imagine how many retrieves. If there was one habbit I would complain about him it would have to be taking retrieved birds away from other dogs. It absolutely makes me mad as hell to see another dog handler's joy be spoiled when Rex comes along and swipes a bird out of their mouth. I can call him off sometimes, but I hate the fact I have to keep on him. Anyone have ideas on how to correct this. I'm sure i could break him fairly easy if I had another dog to train alongside him.
