I noticed Washington numbers are way down from the 60's and 70's when they had the same numbers as Oregon. Since I used to work in Washington for over 30 plus years. This is mis-statement by the magazine as far as roosevelt Elk being split 50'50 with Rocky Mt. Elk. Roosevelt Elk are found only on the Olympic Pen. and west of I-5 south of Seattle. Those that you find west of the Cascades and east of I-5 are introduced Rocky Mt. Elk and those that crossed over the cascades from the east side. I thought you would like to know this little tidbit.

Another note if a person could get drawn for one of those trophy bull permits in the Blue mountains he would have and excellent chance of getting a 350 bull or better if not a record bull.
