| Doesn't get much better than bass on the fly. I have a 9'6" 7 wt I toss bass bugs with. I agree with Bamboo though that an 8 wt would be ideal though. Can be tough to get those big flies out where you want them. I fish my grandpa's farm ponds in Texas with a fly rod. I highly recommend this to anyone fishing farm ponds. Most difficult part of it is finding a good assortment of flies....
