My experience with calls is you get what you pay for. This goes well beyond the sound / quality of call and more important to me is customer service, tuning services, and replacement parts. I really like the Foiles timber rattler as well as Mick Lacy Mallard Magic. Both of these calls are pretty easy to blow and can hit those low raspy notes with ease.

I'm not that great at tuning calls so it's important to me to be able to send to manufacturer for a perfect hand tune. Most reputable call makers will offer this service. I can tune for pitch no problems, but i'm not that comfortable sanding reeds to get the break worked out.
