For field dressing a deer (and walk to the tree stand) you can do very well with the inexpensive RayOvac Sportsman Xtreme.
I have just been using it for those chores), plenty of flood with the diffuser lens.
I will post my review of that light next.

For tracking blood it is another matter, unless you have copious amount of blood, you need a very powerful, intense white light to make those little drops come out.
There are not inexpensive lights that can make 200 lumens or more.
I also have a review of two lights that make the grade.
That will be the second post, after this one.
