| Can't agree with you more Boltman. Decreased hunter numbers will have a huge impact on Colorado's DOW resources. Big game seasons are the bread winner for the majority of the state's wildlife budget. Colorado is one of a handful of states that completely funds all activities through licensing and fees. No direct state tax dollars or fed money supports them. I would imagine the first programs to go will be habitat improvement and land purchases though. I'm not sure they can afford to raise rates in this economy. They do this, and they risk further decreases in hunter numbers as they'll be out pricing many hunters.
