Here is a pic of a bass that my cousin Misty caught last Saturday. It was 24" long and 18" around. They guessed it to be 9-10lbs. She caught it on a white and red chatterbait about 5 feet from the bank. Fish was caught in a small private lake in southeastern Kansas.

Where's the pic? I got a 10# LMB on my wall that came from a private pond in Central KS. They grom some big'uns down that way.

I'd sure love to catch a ten pound bass. I don't care if it's in Kansas, or Oklahoma, or freakin' North Korea.

My father in law is from South West Kansas (Liberal) and he caught his first largemouth on our Guided Striper trip to Texoma a couple of weeks ago.

I was in shock that he'd never caught a bass before. I've caught thousands of them and just assumed I guess, as many times as we'd been fishing together that he had. We always fish for walleye or sand bass, or hybrid bass, so it never came up.

I guess that's one of the differences between living in Southwest Kansas compared to Central Oklahoma. You wouldn't think there'd be many haha.
