What's your favorite Bass bait?

I love to fish Texas rigged plastic worms. There's nothing like it. It doesn't matter what time of day or what the conditions are, if I think I can catch fish on a worm, that's what I'm going to use. My favorite worm is a 10 inch Berkley Power worm in just about any color. I love the "not knowing" how big a fish you might soon have when you feel that tic tic tic or feel that slight tension when the bait get's picked up.

I lived on Lake Tenkiller in Tahlequah, OK for a semester in college and we fished the lake every single night. We'd get on the water about 90 minutes before dark and fish until two or three in the morning, sometimes later.

I found that I was more effective catching fish at night because I relied more on feel and it was easier to concentrate.

There are lots of bats on Lake Tenkiller and if you hold your rod about your fishing partner's head and swirl your bait around in a circle bats will swoop down at it.

That a damn scary feeling, the first time a bat swoops down and hits the back of your head. It will make you want to drown your fishing buddy!

I blame my gpa that semester on that lake!

My favorite Bass Bait

I have to admit, I love throwing Texas rigged too. Nothing better than a Sqwormin Stix wiggling it's way into the face of a big Largemouth.

However, my favorite, is a nice exploding topwater bite. So I throw the Ambush Lures Pop a Long Pro Series. I has the coolest action, especially if you switch out the rear treble with a feathered treble. The action is different than most Popper types I have thrown and something about the 2 piece pop pop really entices the big 'uns.
