Shore basin' Any tips on how to catch bass from shore this time of year? I want to Benbrook last night after dark, hoping the bass would come shallow, and threw several different kinds of baits, but didn't get a bite. Is it just too hot to find bass near shore now, even at night? Should I fish in shallow flats, deeper waters, rip-rap, or elsewhere? Thanks. Terry

I live in illinois and havnt had too bad of a summer fishing. I've been using crankbaits and spinners and get em. the best time i have fished was about 4:30pm. Find the weed beds or fallen logs and trees and fish there. Good luck.

I'm in OK, and not sure where your at, but its been a raging inferno here this year. Everythings dead and most ponds and lakes are WAY below normal creating more problems. The few times I've been able to go (I know its sad) have generally been early in the morning on weed beds.
