a ? about a rod rack

i'm new here but i have a quick question:

Has anybody used one of these

http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...&currentPage=0

I was thinking of getting one but was wondering if you mounted it to the roof of your suv (I have a Jeep Cherokee) if the screws would damage the roof of my car (such as cause leaking, ect...) thanks.

Wes,

I would imagine you could find some aftermarket screws that would merely go through your head liner (1/4"-3-8"). If not, i've seen people make them with about a 2.5 foot section of velcro tape. Screw one side of tape to the headliner and velcro them in. When done this way, they are way less obtrusive then the plastic racks. If your headliner is too thin for screws, you could also just drop your liner and put a lock washer and nut on the topside and replace.
