A minnow

I never fished for bass until this year. Im going on 50 and never fished for them. My son however is a freak when it comes to bass. He talked me into going and I caught a five pound largemouth and nice three pound smallie. He was thrilled, but not half as much as I was. I thought they were pretty dang big until I start readin about what all of you have caught. Heck, my bass was just minnows. I envy you.

I'd take either one of them in a Tourney

A three pound smallmouth is a good one anywhere you go!

smallie

I gat to admit that when i caught the three pound smallie, I was surprised. It faught very hard. I was just tryin for some perch with two pound trilene XL and a worm. No sinker, just let it drop slow to the perch and I'll be dog gone if that bass didnt take ahold. It was a thrill but my son said it dont count cause I used a worm.
He uses tube jigs and such

I read some place that the average bass weighed in during a professional bass tournament weighs just under 2 pounds. i started tracking our little club tournament and found our average bass weighs just slightly over 2 pounds.

So any bass over 2 pounds could win you a tournament
LOL LOL LOL

Man I used to use the heck out of Culprit worms. I gradually stopped using them after the Berkeley Power worms came out.
