If anyone hasn't seen this new world record bull elk shot this year, you're going to crap yourself. The "Spider Bull" was taken September 30, 2008 by Denny Austed while hunting with Team Mossback. This bull was harvested on public land in Utah. The “Spider” bull has a green score of 500 4/8 inches and nets 488. Incredible. There's a ton of better pictures on the net, even some video footage filmed over the summer. Just do a google search for "spider bull" and you'll get tons of hits.

That Elk, Corry, is exactly what I am looking for! To be honest, ANY Elk (legal elk), is the kind of Elk I am looking for from now on.

That's a cool bull I have seen video of this bull. We have a bull like that running around down here in Colorado. I know he's not as big as this bull but he will be pushing 430 easily.

The report I heard was it was taken on public land and he was not paying a guide. He had a special rifle built to take him and had been following him for some time before the season and didn't get the shot until late in the season. We have some really nice bulls here in Colorado, in the limited draw areas, but big 6-7 point bulls in general draw areas are pretty rare, although I have seen 2 over the years, got one shot and missed. Oh well, thats why they call it hunting.
