Season opener is just around the corner. Anyone going to hunt roosters in kansas

how are the pheasants going to be? We have to wait until Dec. 1 here in Okie land.

Numbers will be spotty in SW Kansas due to drought conditions this summer. To complicate matters crops are less th an 50% harveseted. For best results this season hunters will need to concentrate on cover adjacent to irrigrated crops and avoid hunting dryland areas. Other areas of the state that have not been affected by the drought are reporting good populations.

I'm planning on it. I hope to hunt in SW Kansas and the Oklahoma Panhandle. I have a few spots in mind. The problem is getting away.
