Using frogs for live bait

We have a lot of grass frogs and toads around here (I assume everywhere) and I was wondering how long a frog could survive underwater (or remain "live" bait)? Do you guys use frogs at all when you catfish or do you get better results from live baitfish?
Thanks
Craig

I don't know about toads...

We have spring frogs around here and they are AWESOME catfish bait.

There may not be a better bait for channel cat than frogs, depending on what time of year.

I usually use chicken liver but i have used frogs before and they do work great, you do have to be careful where you hook them in order to keep them alive longer, leg is a great spot, thats where i hook mine too
