I've seen some really big catfish in my day. My brother noodled a 40lb flathead last week, and his friends caught one that wieghed about 45 on a trot line a couple days afterward, but I'm thinking they don't want to have anything to do with a catfish that big.

I wonder if those kind of Catfish would survive if intruduced into United States Lakes and if so, how large they could get. I used to hear stories when I was little about Catfish the size of Volkswagons on the bottom of Lake Texoma, etc. and it was enough to scare me as a kid when swimming/skiing/or whatever else in the lake.
