I'm having problems sighting in my bow and was wondering if my peep may be off a little. I read in a book if you close your eyes and draw your bow, when you open your eyes you should be looking through your peep. I did that while in the house and it seemed fine. Today while shooting in the yard I happened to catch myself tilting my head down everytime I drew to see through the peep. It was very little but I figured a little is a lot 30 yards away. Would that cause my sites to shoot low? Right now I have my 30-yard pin set to shoot as high as it will go and it still shoots about 6 inches too low. I thought to go look at my old sights and noticed that they were maxed out as high as they would go as well. New archer here so forgive the lack of knowledge.

I have had the same bow for 10 years it is a PSE carrol. I beleive you are moving the pins the wrong direction. I you shoot low move them down and if you shoot high move them up. Don't quote me on that. As far as the peep goes, when you pull back your bow the peep should be straight across from your sights. A way to mark this is to pull back your bow without your peep and have somone mark that spot with tape. put your peep there and give it a try. Just a hunter not a professional,
