Is this area worth plotting?

Area backs up to an airport.

Went out there today. Saw lots of hog sign but looking to hunt deer. Found a few places for stands. You can see the spots because of the trees. There are a few good open spots for plots. There is also a small pond and a creek that runs through the property.

We will be planting the red area for a rifle stand. The rest will be bow stands.

The areas marked green are stands.

1 backs up to a field next to the airport. (Will be planted with secret spot)

2 is a small clearing (tiller will be used) whitetail institute extreme

3 rifle stand (by red lines) (tiller used) whitetail institute extreme

4 (not in pic) will be running off the creek (tiller used) whitetail institute extreme

we have not been thru the area near the "B" but dont think we will be able to get a tiller back there.

My question is... do you think this are will be worth plotting? The only reason why I want to plot it is because I will be able to hunt it whenever I want. The other land I will be hunting on cant be hunted by me in rifle season.

Also, any other comments or places I should put stands?
Thanks
Elliot

Sorry, but I can't see a picture. Also, if there is already a problem with hogs, having plots is not going to help, they are pretty destructive.

I agree if there are signs of hogs then it probably isn't worth doing all that work. Not saying I wouldn't hunt it but if deer are there they will be there if you plant or not. I would set a stand and sit in it for a day to see what you see. If you see deer great if not then keep looking.

With presence of hogs, your best bet is to hang feeders. Won't have to worry about hogs and if deer aren't actively moving through area or using feeder, all you have to do is move it. You can easily make drop feeders for next to nothing. Cut about an 8 -10' section of PVC pipe (4-6" diam.) place caps on both end and fill with your choice of feed. On bottom end of feeder cut several holes to allow grain to fall out when pipe is gently tapped or moved. It is fairly easy to get animals accustomed to these if you put out well before season starts. Hang it and pile a bunch of feed on ground. Before you know it, deer will figure out moving it will drop feed.
