mulies

I have never been hunting for mule deer, but have been elk hunting in colorado and encountered a lot. In pagosa spings colorado is where we were camped and the mulies acted about like pets. They were everywhere but you had to put in early for a deer tag and none of us did. This year I have been invited to Nebraska, to hunt on the north plat river on about 7,000 acres. The area we are hunting is said to have more mule deer than whitetail. Hopefully i will come home with a nice one to put on the wall.

Been mule deer hunting many times. Most trips were in Western Kansas and North on Kansas/Nebraska line. Always been pretty successful. Most mule deer I have encountered in the grasslands are hard to hunt; however, throw some sandhills in the equation, and you can put the sneak on easily.
