that's not too bad birdman. I'd take him for sure. I've been elk hunting three times but have yet to fill that 500-some odd dollar tag!

I can point you in the right direction. The area we hunt is public ground around Craig Colorado in the Beaver Flat Top Wilderness. This area is home to the largest Elk herd in North America. This past year, we must have seen around 150 elk on the first half day, of which 10-12 were shooter bulls. Had a wall hanger poke his head out, but didn't stick around long enough or get close for a shot...

Man, anyone want to invite me out for some real hunting. All I have are these puny ass WhiteTail out here in central Maryland.

Besides that, I only got out 1 day this year. Spent all day in the tree stand, and about 10 minutes before leaving, this one comes running with a fox in chase. My son was more interested in taking the fox than the deer.

Here is the one that I shot during blackpowder this year. It is not the biggest that I have killed but it has more mass than any other deer I have seen shot in oklahoma. He dressed out at 185 and I had hell loading him on the 4 wheeler alone. One of my best friends also shot a nice 9 point from the same stand during rifle season. I will try to get him to post it later.
