| Administrator | my buddies deer Here are some pictures of the deer my buddy shot this year. The 8 pointer he shot with his muzzleloader and the 11 pointer he shot with his rifle. If you look real close you can see he is wearing a huntandfishfinders.com hat with the 8 pointer!!!! |

| Administrator | first buck Nice first buck marvin!!! My first buck was a half rack fork. I shot the poor deer 6 times with a 30-06, would of shot him 7 but one shell was a dud and wouldn't fire. I mean wouldn't fire, trust me I must of reloaded that damn shell a hundred times! I had him wounded at about 10 yards walking parallel to me. I considered stabbing him with my survival knife several times. He finally laid down in some tall grass. This allowed my uncle (and hunting partner) to arrive. When he got there scared to death, ( he thought I shot myself, due to all of the yelling) he angrily said , what the hell are you yelling about. I said that I had a buck wounded in this tall grass, and he laughed. The grass was the size of a pitchers mound. He then asked if I wanted to barrow one of his shells, I was reluctant! He had a 243 and I a 30-06. After some discussion over that I trampled into the small plot of grass. Out into the open wheat field walked the more than half dead deer. Boom the shot rang off and dirt flew from ten feet above the deers body. Boom another shot,( both from 15 yards) rang and down the deer went. It was all over and our first deer was down. This was the first of a lifetime of my hunting adventures, with more to come. |
