Snowy Conditions = No deer

I was excited about hunting this week, but have found the deer have completely abandoned my property following the snow. This doesn't make since to me because I have corn, soybeans, wheat, rye, clover, etc. scattered around my farm and it is not all under snow. I don't think there has been a deer on my place since the big 12" snow. Any theories?

Have you seen any tracks? My experience with animals that don't see much snow (ie. Oklahoma deer) is that they'll move at night if the skies are clear. The snow's reflection brightens things up enough (similar to full moon) to let the deer move.

No tracks out there until today and the snow is mostly melted off now. Weird.
