| Administrator | Shotgun help I've been wanting a new shotgun for several years now and have started to rathole a little money away here and there until I have enough for WHAT I WANT. I want a quality gun that could be used for just about anything. I've looked and was looking to get some good info on what you guys use or what you might recommend.

| Administrator | All around gun for me is a browning gold hunter. I've always been a big browning fan though. More importantly, are you interested in an auto loader, pump, or over/under? Answer this and I 'll break it down a little further.

| Administrator | I want an auto and I'm leaning very strongly toward a gold hunter but I also went and looked at a new silver hunter and it was pretty nice with a cheaper tag. Its not missing much off the gold hunter from what I understand.

| Administrator | Do the silvers have a magazine shut off? I've got the upland special series in the gold and it doesn't have the shut off. You might check out the new Beretta auto loaders. They're pretty darn nice. Rob got one last year that was a pheasants forever series. Little more pricey, but super nice!!

| After looking around a bit, it appears Remington has a new auto coming out with supposedly less recoil. I also just saw somewhere that the same company makes Benelli, Berettas, Stoeger, and Franchi. The Extrema I mentioned to you earlier seems to be more of waterfowl gun, so if your wanting to hunt upland, it might not be the best bet. The Super Black Eagle seems to be popular, however, I know nothing about it. Hard to go wrong with a Browning either. |
