| Canyon Lake Guide Report Water gin clear; 50 degrees; 906.28' (3.5' low) Water temperatures really haven't effected largemouth, but have brought the smallmouth shallow. Largemouth are fair over brushpiles on secondary points in 10'-15' using purple-red tail Scoundrel worms, whacky rigged cotton candy JDC Gibronis and small watermelon tubes on jigheads. Smallmouth are very good to 5 lbs over rockpiles in 6'-18' on all chartreuse Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits, smoke JDC curl tail Grubs and crawfish Rebel crankbaits. Stripers are improving along mainlake points from Turkey Cove to Comal Park. on 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows, 2" Spoiler Shads, white bucktails and trolling. White Bass are fair to good vertically jigging 1/4 oz. silver Pirk Minnows, Road Runners,. swimming 2" Spoiler Shads and trolling Shad Raps. Crappie are fair at the crappie pier on minnows.
