| Canyon Lake Guide Report Canyon Lake: Water clear; 63 degrees; 905.93': Largemouth are good between cold fronts along gravel flats in 3'-8' of water using wacky rigged white Whacky Sticks, crawfish Rat-L-Traps, 5" weightless twitch baits and smoke- red flake Snap Back tubes. Smallmouth are very good to 3.5 lbs over rockpiles from 4' to 15' deep on smoke-red JDC 3" Craws, smoke tubes and all chartreuse Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits. Stripers are slow to fair at midlake vertically jigging 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows, swimming Spoiler Shads and trolling. White Bass are fair to good on chartreuse or white grubs, small Terminator In-Line spinners and 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps. Crappie are good on minnows.
