Canyon Lake Guide Report

Water gin clear; 72 degrees; 905.74':
Largemouth are good early along initial breaklines using Bleeding
Shad Rat-L-Traps, white Terminator spinnerbaits and top-waters
like a Daquiri JDC Skip-N-Pop around shallow stickups and trees
at first light and later in brushpiles on secondary points using
watermelon-chartreuse Big Pig creature baits, Snap Back green-
pumpkin lizards, Texas rigged green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks.
Smallmouth are fair to 3 lb. in 8'-20' along bluff ledges using a
rootbeer-green JDC grubs, smoke-red tubes and Smokin' Green
Devil's Tongues on drop shots.
Stripers are slow.
White Bass are fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are good at fishing pier on minnows at night.
