| Canyon Lake Guide Report Water gin clear; 72 degrees; 905.74': Largemouth are good early along initial breaklines using Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, white Terminator spinnerbaits and top-waters like a Daquiri JDC Skip-N-Pop around shallow stickups and trees at first light and later in brushpiles on secondary points using watermelon-chartreuse Big Pig creature baits, Snap Back green- pumpkin lizards, Texas rigged green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks. Smallmouth are fair to 3 lb. in 8'-20' along bluff ledges using a rootbeer-green JDC grubs, smoke-red tubes and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues on drop shots. Stripers are slow.
