Lake Buchanan; LBJ & Canyon Lake (TX) Guide Report

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 49 degrees; 998.24':
Few Fishermen Out
Largemouth are slow to fair between fronts in 12' to 24'
along bluff ledges using 3/16 oz. black/blue Terminator finesse
jigs with craw trailers; watermelon Devil's Tongues on drop
shot rigs and smoke JDC craws on football jigheads.
Stripers are fair to good from Shaw Island to Paradise Point
casting/jigging white Curb's striper jigs; Pirk
Minnows and drifting live bait in 12' to 28'.
White bass are slow to fair trolling "down deep" Shad Raps
and vertically jigging Tiny Traps and Pirk Minnows.

Lake LBJ: Water clear; 51 degrees; 824.90':
Largemouth are good to 10.78 lbs! in 12'-18' along boat docks,
boulder rocks on mainlake points and seawall rip rap using
blue/purple 6" Texas rigged worms; 1/4 oz. black/blue Terminator
jigs w/craw trailers and Crawfish Wiggle Warts.
White Bass are good in main river channels under birds on
1/4 oz Pirk Minnows and Road Runners.
Crappie are fair in/on enclosed crappie docks on live minnows.

Largemouth are slow in 12'-20' drop shotting smokin' green'
Devil's Tongues, red shad Gambler Swebo worms on wacky rigs
and smoke JDC Craws on jigheads.
Smallmouth are good in 8' to 20' on mainlake points and
bluff ledges using smoke tubes on jigheads; smoke/red flake JDC
grubs and chartreuse Terminator custom tungsten spinnerbaits.
Stripers are good under birds in main river channel vertically
jigging silver 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows and white Curb's striper jigs.
White Bass are good vertically jigging 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows and
white or chartreuse rubber skirted Road Runners in 12'-20'.
