Fly Tying Club "Twinning"

Hi all

I am the membership secretary of the Flydressers Guild Herts Branch, a fly tying/fly fishing club in the UK.Flydressers Guild|Fly Dressers Hertfordshire

We are looking to "twin" with other fly tying clubs around the world in a bid to learn more about fly tying/fishing techniques/skills, provide local knowledge to those visiting our shores etc from others. As you will probably be aware, although fly fishing around the world has the same basic techniques, the patterns that are used vary wildly, but work in other countries - take the Ace of Spades, a New Zealand pattern that's a killer on UK reserviors.

If anyone is a member of a club that would be interested in twinning with us, please contact me - hertsfdg_membership@bigfoot.com

Welcome to the site dazzyd. I hope you stick around and teach everyone a few things about fly fishing. I know there are a few guys on here who would love to talk fish with you.

Glad to have you on board dazzyd. I'm not part of a tying club, nor do I tie myself. I am however an avid fly fisher in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I'm always exploring new techniques and patterns and would enjoy learning from you. I primarily fish dry / dropper rigs but my favorite must be terrestrials.

Hi guys

Thanks for the welcome

If I can assist with any generalised tying issues, please feel free to ask me. I have been tying for around 9 years or so and am always willing to help newbies
