Float tube help

Hi,

I am heading to Big Sky Montana for the last week of July to do some fishing and hiking. I am thinking that this trip might be a good excuse to buy a float tube. I have survived 30 years of fly-fishing without even trying out a float tube but I am thinking maybe it is time. I have owned a Curtis pack raft for a number of years and love it for backpacking. The problem with the Curtis raft is that you are at the mercy of the wind and currents so the little raft points where it wants. It is also a bit challenging to cast because you have to sit in a rather reclined position. I have various kayaks and a 12' johnboat but I do not always want to lug them along on a long road trip. Could you give me some suggestions on what to consider when buying a float tube? There appears to be quite a few options so I am a bit intimidated at this point. Any favorite models or brands? Brands to avoid? Styles or features for different types of water? For the Montana trip I figure I will fish some at Quake and Hebgen lakes.
Thanks
conner
