| Quinault Coho I've been toying with doing a guided trip on the Lower Quinault this fall for coho. My only river experience with coho was on the Tsiu (sp) in Alaska several years ago. We mostly used wogs/gurglers (floating line), and various streamer patterns (sink tip). The technique was pretty much the standard steelhead downstream swing, with the difference being a quick strip retrieve. Can anyone provide advice that would be applicable to fishing for coho in WA, and particularly the Quinault, in terms of technique and flies? Thanks. I was set to fish the L. Quinault this past late-March and arrived just as the (6 inches of rain) monsoon came in. I've had a burning desire to see the L. Quinault for 40+ years. Thanks Taylor |
