snohomish county rivers...

Any ideas of suitable rivers in Snohomish County to take my buddy fishing at on Friday morning? Easily wadable and less populated rivers would be most coveted, and getting into fish would be nice but is by no means a priority, really just looking to spend a nice day on some moving water with my buddy. I know that they’re a lot of really nice rivers up there, but I have never fished them, I was thinking maybe the Sky? It seems like there are some areas of the Sky that would be good to wade, and have very little brush to get in the way of casting...but I am not sure what sorts of fish we may find (for some reason I have the impression that the Sky is more of a salmon/steelhead river than trout, if that is the case, the 5 weight might not do the trick?) or what parts may or may not be closed. Once again, any tips/advice/ideas would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks
