| Beckler River I was looking at a topo map of the Beckler River and I noticed something very strange. It has 2 islands in it. The kind where the river goes around a piece of land. The only other place I know of this happening is Ebey Island on the lower Snohomish. I find it really weird that a river would fork going downstream. Isn't that sort of defying some law, shouldn't water take the path of least resistance. Even if it was the same at one time shouldn't one fork erode quicker making more water go that way and eventually just following one path? Is it just me that thinks this is really weird? Thanks Quinn |
