Agreed on the frustration factor of Gink. A good buddy of mine (lets just call him Neal S. for privacy) came up with a good way to deal with the "too hot" predicament. Try running the bottle of Gink thru the stream water for a minute or so. This should help to lower the temp enough to get the gel-like consistency back.

Yeah, I do that sometimes, but in the heat of the summer, you might have to hold it in the water for several minutes while it cools down. I guess if I weren't so impatient, it wouldn't be a big deal. No time to waste with the guys I fish with. You stall for a second and they'll leap frog ya and catch all the fish in the hole i'm standing in ...

My fav dry is a suspender buzzer. I fish reservoirs in the UK and during the summer, this pattern can be a killer Because of the use of CDC, floatant isn't usually needed, when tying them up, its worth tying a trial to see how much CDC is needed to keep it in the surface film.
