Sure am glad i dont live in Caly

Folks,

I have just spoken with the Park Manager of Lake Casitas. Any standing water in any compartment including your rod lockers, storage cabinets, battery compartments, bilge area, transom, etc. they will not allow you to enter the lake.

Understand that this is coming from the Board of Directors of Lake Casitas and the park management is following their instructions.

Please be diligent in cleaning and drying your boat before entering the lake.

I will be having further meetings with the management in an attempt to get the inspections to be more reasonable and will be making an update as soon as I have more information.

I'm from Cali

The lake Management change the rules...tell no one in advance at all
the HBC (Heavyweight Bass Classic) was there last week...they had a new set of rule..different from the very previous day....Today...completely new rule..if you were on the lake yesterday...guess what you cant get in if you fail the "new" inspection.....it was raining today...they didn't care

its a big mess on that lake..seems they have there minds set to close the lake to the Bass fishermen...Scott Sweet and many others are fighting tooth and nail for us.

They want to stop the spread of Zebra and Quagga muscle..so they want all live wells Clean and dry...now they want every thing Clean and dry...livewells,rod lockers, everything....even in the rain

there acts on that lake are a complete act of lunacy

Man i feel for ya Darkman that must be tough out there. Being a tourney fisherman myself i would probably never be able to pass that kind of inspection.

It sounds like to me they are trying to do the same thing as what happened in a Kansas Lake. Make it difficult enough for fisherman to get on the lake and they will stop coming. Less boat/fishing traffic and the potential spread of the mussell problem isn't viewed as bad???
