They are some kind of Japanese carp. People are saying they are becoming a pain in the rear. They are way overpopulating the Illinois River.

I went several times back in college with "****ie". Took my old bass tracker out on Carl Blackwell and Sooner several times. We would just cruise in shallow water back in coves and along weedlines. We shot a couple, but was way more effort than fun. ****'s dad is big into it. He has a jet boat with a 6 foot tall shooting platform built. He runs a generator pushing like 8-10 hallogen lights over the water for a night time smackdown!!! I think they even tournament fished??

Yes, they do tournament fish, not sure if they've ever won though. I am a little jealous, I've bugged him a number of times to take me and he never has. Kinda funny, he said at the end of a tournament they usually give the fish to some old man who takes 'em home to clean and eat them. Doesn't sound very good to me considering almost all of what they get are Carp!

A lot of people love to eat carp. I have no idea why anyone would, but honestly I can't say I've ever tried it.
