middle aged and new

hi everybody, my name is don , im new to the site . i joined this site because i have been following the threads about fishing , and thats one thing i like to do. im a long time fisherman, but im not to old to learn something about fishing. i like to bass fish, or go to the cabin on the neuse and fish for flounder, trout, or drum. im from raleigh, nc and like fishing sharon harris, falls, when the water is up, jordan, kerr, and gaston. i also have a old farm in apex, with a two acre pond, full of fat bream, and lots of dinky bass. i guess the bream are so many, that the bass dont get enough to eat. dont get me wrong ,there are some nice bass in there to. just not that many. maybe this spring if some of you guys have kids and want to fish the pond for bream or bass, to try and eliminate some of these bream, for the frying pan, just pm me and i will work out a day for you at the pond. there will be no charge, only to ask to keep it clean and not dump your trash there, please. well ive said enough so tight lines and once more,hello....don

Welcome aboard man.

We are happy to have you and I look forward to your input.

Let me know if there is anything I can help you with or if you have any concerns or comments about the site...

Also, you might want to remove your email or just spell it out like emailaddress at website dot com, or just have people private message you on here instead.

That way spam email harvesters don't pick up your email address and put it in their list.

Someone referred to me derogatorily as Shortbus in college once when I was a pledge in my fraternity because I said something stupid or asked a stupid question or something. I heard it a few times after that and the first time I needed a screen name on the internet that's what popped into my head I guess...

I've been considering changing it to just my name because some people might take offense to it. I never really looked at it as a negative term like some people do. I'm a nurse by trade and used to work with mentally challenged people on a regular basis so I don't really enjoy the possibility of the negative connotation, even though that is how I got the name in the first place...
