Threats to hunting in Texas

This one has been around before, but we have new members on here and they may not have heard some of our same old rhetoric.

I am leaving PETA and the HSUS out of this one, because even though I do believe they are a threat, I feel they are acting covertly and not trying to draw attention to their workings.

What do the members of The Forum, think or feel, are the major threats to hunting in Texas. Not only now, but over the next 5 to 10 years.

Even though we have slightly over 3100 registered members, I still do not think that equals out to even 1% of the licensed hunters in the state.

I will start the ball rolling, because I feel that the economy, our increasing population, and a general trend in the attitude of the public in general toward hunting/gun ownership/private land owner rights, and the aging of the segment of the population that does hunt, are all wearing away at varying degrees.

What does everyone else think, but try to base your answers on the state as a whole, not just individual areas or regions.
Thanks
