erik Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 19	Carp Beginner Advice Thanks, I will try some corn. I definitely found a great spot that has tons of carp. I tried dough balls tonight but they were biting so soft I never got a good hook set. You could barely see the line moving and once in a while they would pull just enough to move the rod. I had a good one on and fought it to the bank and then it got off right in front of me. I'll have better hooks tomorrow night and try the corn also. It just seems like they never run with the bait until the hook pricks them enough to scare them. Thanks erik
