If you hunt and im sure you do because your on this site, but why. Is it the kill, the trophy or just to feed the family.

I personally love the trophy. Whether its a limit out on bird or the biggest deer I can find thats what I love. I know that we would love to hear your reason and a few stories as well.

Personally, I'd have to say the thrill more than anything. That I was able to finally coax in some call-shy ducks, take two quail out of a group, or getting so close to a deer that it is scared b/c it knows you are there but have no idea where. Also, having good meat (almost free) is BIG plus.

That's a pretty good question. I think it's that feeling you get in your stomach, of butterflies when you see that big trophy, or when you're fishing and you get that big bite and there's the anticipation of just what kind of trophy you're about to capture. There's also the aspect of nature. If you live near a big city, getting away and back to nature is something to appreciate.

Plus, "I love me some deer meat!"

Really, I hunt for 3 main reasons. 1. To make a little money. 2. For a nice healthy way to get some good exercise (and keep me motivated to exercise in the offseason) and 3. A chance to spend time with friends, family, and clients. This would probably be my favorite reason.

I really could care less about meat, thrill of the chase or trophies.
