Morning all,

Just heard from the Alabama gang. My dog Allie had the 4th run of the day this morning in the Nationals she posted 8 minutes and clean.

I am not sure how that is stacking up and it is still early but Don seemed elated with it! He said he would call me later when he had more time and fill me in but I just wanted to let you guys know. Keep your fingers crossed if she can put another one together tomorrow she has a good shot at making the finals, and that is what it is all about. Tess runs later this afternoon and I am hoping for more good news!

Yea, I am afraid I am going to be even more worthless than normal and that is bad!

I think that I could be way more productive if I could manage to sit still and stop checking my cell phone. If today is this bad tomorrow is going to be even fugging worse LMAO! I think I should just stay home.

Morning my brothers,

Well here we are the updates for the rest of day 1 and what I know about day 2.

Tess had a little bad luck in her first run. Had 2 birds clean in a little over 4 minutes and was well on her way t a good start. She spun on the 3rd bird and it popped on her and the judge called no bird, as she did not fully establish a point ebfore the bird came up. The bird flew out of bounds and they were not able to find an extra in the field to make up for it.

She went out toady and had a 6:50 clean but the 2 bird run from yesterday all but eliminates her from the finals. Am I dissapointed? Sure but Don said she did everything right including standing steady when the bird came up and flew out of the field it was just some bad luck for us yesterday.

Allie however was my saving grace. she went out this miorning and ran a 7:05 clean and that with yesterday run gets her into the finals tomorrow!
She will be 1 of 10 dogs out of the opriginal 160 that started this tournament running tomorrow for the title! Please keep your fingers crossed for us as she is running for her first ever National Title.

Good news on Allie. Sucks you couldn't have two in the finals, but finishing even tenth out of 160 would be awesome. Hopefully she'll bring home first place!

Give us an update again whenever you have a chance.

there is a picture of Tess on the pics forum. That is about as far as I can go still working on getting them onto this board.

Thanks for the good thoughts. You are right I am happy that she has made it as far as she has. 150 other dogs cant say the same. I aould be lying however if I said that I did not want a good size piece of that 20K in prize money

Good job with Allie Pointer. Damn, 20k in prize money is more than any fishing tourney i've been in. Might need to rethink my priorities ...

It is a blast for sure. We are hosting a couple qualifiers at the club I train at in March. If it was not so darn far for you to drive you should check one out. I do know that there will be a couple next fall in the Denver area maybe you could swing up and take a look? I am sure you would enjoy it greatly.
