We hunt hogs year round. In years past when we could hunt more we adveraged close to 400 a year. Now with the fuel prices we can't hunt as much as we would like to. So far this year though we are at 31 hogs. Not as many as someguys I know, but still a respectable number. None of the hogs we have harvested are shot. All are stuck with a knife. Here is some links to some of the hogs we have taken, and not all hogs we have harvest do we have pics of which sucks lol.

Shane you are a little braver than I am, but it would probably be a blast once you stuck one.

That sounds like fun. I'd probably have to take some liquid courage first though.

S and J,

What type of dogs do you run? And do you have a different "head" dog you put on em' before you stick them? I know some guys who have done guided trips in Arkansas I believe and if i remember correctly they were hunting behind black mouth kerr's as kill dogs...

We use BMC and catahoulas to find/hold/bay the hog(s). We then send in either DOGOS or pits to catch and hold it. Who was it in Ak that you hunted with? Was it SPEARS OUTDOOR OUTFITTERS?

SJ,
I finally got in touch with my buddy and indeed it was Spears service who led the group.

What is generally the best time of year to do this. I'm looking for a group of guys to go on some adventure for a non-traditional bachelor party. Of course there will be some activites of the traditional sort ...

LMAO Spears has dogs from me. I am real good friends with both of them. How long ago was this hunt?

May through Aug is usually the best time as there are grain crops in the fields and the hogs are more congregated.
