Bigfoot body 'found and put in freezer'

TWO US professional Bigfoot hunters claim to have found a body of the legendary creature and will present evidence of the astounding discovery to the world's press and scientists tomorrow.

Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, who run Bigfoot expeditions, say they found a dead Bigfoot in the woods of north Georgia, in the southeast of the US, about two weeks ago and have put the carcass in a freezer.

They along with "the real Bigfoot Hunter" Tom Biscardi, who has endorsed the find, will front a press conference in California, where they say DNA and photo proof will be presented.

Mr Whitton, a Georgia police officer on leave to recover from a shooting, and Mr Dyer, a former prison officer, have posted photos of their "find" on their searchingforbigfoot website.

They describe the creature as being a 2.3m tall "part human and part ape" male and weighing over 230kg with reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.

The infamous feet are described as being flat and 41cm long with five toes.

The hands also have five fingers and and the teeth are more "human-like than ape like".

The hunters claim several Bigfoots were spotted walking upright in the area the body was found but won't reveal the location "to protect the creatures".

Mr Whitton, Mr Dyer and Mr Biscardi say they will soon mount a secret expedition to capture a live Bigfoot.

Commenting on the discovery Scientific American said the apparent reluctance of the Bigfoot hunters to actually display or hand over the body would make those sceptical roll their eyes.

Although many would regard the Bigfoot as mythical, enthusiasts were given more reason to believe in October last year when hunter Rick Jacobs claimed to have taken photos of a Bigfoot in Pennsylvania.

The Bigfoot stir coincides with a supposed Texas sighting and filming of another legendary US monster, the chupacabra, which is a dog-like animal with a long snout that according to folklore attacks livestock, especially goats, and drinks their blood.

Pretty interesting, but I think its fake, they held a press conference today and revealed little to nothing. I guess we'll see.

definitely a fake.

If I find bigfoot, I'm not putting him in a freezer for a month and a half, and then sending out one freaking picture, then having a presser a week later, then an autopsy another week later.

I'm freaking sending out hair and skin samples to 20 of the best labs in the country. I'm buying a 5,000 dollar digital camera and taking 1,000 detailed pictures. I'm having a press conference after a week, and letting them see the damn thing.

They say the delay is because they want to be sure and make money from the deal.

Uh, yeah, they're worried about making 5 grand here and there on bigfoot expeditions. Either it's a fake, or they are the dumbest idiots to ever live who don't realize they're gonna make millions anyway if it's real. Movie rights, story rights, pictures, interviews, book deals, etc. All of that is a given if you make the biggest discovery of the last century. But hey, they're worried about making 50 grand taking people on trips every weekend.

It looks EXACTLY like the 500 dollar bigfoot costume. So either that's one hell of an accurate costume, or they are scammers.

The DNA samples also came back. One human, one opossum, and one unidentifiable.

I hope these guys go to jail if they are lying...and history says they are liars as they have lied about bigfoot before.

The Chupacabra sightings in Texas and other parts of the country with the dog with the unusual features, long rat-like tail, and hairless body have been explained. On one occasion it was a fox and on another occasion it was a coyote. Both of these poor animals had been infected with a rare form of the mange that causes the hair of the body to fall off and the skin then takes on a leathery appearance. Fortunately these bodies were recovered and veterinary science professionals were able to make an identification and diagnosis.

Besides, the traditional Chupacabra legend involves a flying creature of human-like dimensions that sucks the blood from goats.

Yeah, I was pretty disapointed when I saw the pics of the Chupicabra. The original stories had them on two legs with spikes and red glowing eyes. A lot different than an ugly dog.
