ok you asked for it. it is to "busy" i am sure there is a lot of old farts like me that want simple. i am starting to figure things out but sure get frustrated. maybe its just me but hell you have known me since you were a kid so i dont see myself as a "junior member" member would be less degrading. i will do what i can to help the site, i posted on basszone looks like it got a few responses. randy

Thanks Randy. You can change your user title from "junior member" to whatever you want it, by clicking on UserCp at the top and then clicking the "Edit your Details" link on the top of the left side bar. That will bring up the list of user details in the middle. Under where it says Custom User Title, just enter what you want in that box.

What do you mean about too busy? The colors, the links, too many forums, the side bar?

If you give me specific examples I can make something custom for you that makes things a lot easier for you...

I'm glad you're here. You're a really smart guy and I've always looked up to you. As much as you know about hunting and fishing, you'll be a great asset to the site.

You probably don't realize how much I appreciated and enjoyed all the times you took me hunting and fishing as a kid. I counted the weeks and days to the next time you were gonna take me with you guys bird hunting, or to Criner, or Tenkiller fishing. Good times. Okay enough mush...

If you look at those tabs at the top right that say hunting, fishing, firearms, etc., those will take you to that specific category of forums only, eliminating the others so you don't have to wade through them. So clicking fishing takes you to only the fishing forums, eliminating the hunting forums above them and those below them.

I'm still working on improving how that functions, and how all of the forums are set up for ease of use, so I appreciate any feedback I can get. You won't hurt my feelings, any criticism is constructive because it will make the site better. If you have a problem with something, it's highly likely that other people will feel the same way. I will do whatever I can to accommodate everyone.

Okay, I lied about the tabs. I'll get that fixed soon and then they'll work as described.

changed your title for you to Bass Killer, even though it updated via your post count to "member". Every time you hit a set milestone in the number of posts you have, it will update to the next level of user title, but as I said above, you can change it to whatever you want it to be.

I got rid of the thread ratings option in all the forums, so that is gone.

Working on addressing the rest...

Okay, I switched your message editor to the basic editor, so it should have gotten rid of some of the stuff you don't need.

Please let me know if that makes it any better.

Just signed up..love the site and subjects! Most guys and gals that love hunting and fishing are also experts in their related fields of work -everything from A/C to wallboard repair. I think that a forum category of 'How-To Help' would allow forum members to seek 'how-to' advice from other forum members. The questions could be everything from proper maintenance, care and storage of firearms, boats, fishing & hunting equipment to working on the projects around the house. What do ya'll think?

That's a good idea. I will see about getting one started and the best format for that. I appreciate the feedback.
