Asked the question earlier this month about making a display for the caped out fans but didn’t get much response. This was my first attempt and thought this may give some of you some ideas if you ever decided to make one. Nothing more than old boards/hinges off of an old barn with a little moss added on and a few calls hanging on each side.

Also made my first wing bone call out of this fellow. Not completely finished though. Piece of a whitetail shed makes up the lip stop.

I tried to preserve as much as possible off this bird because I feel he was short changed. Plus, he had a nice white barred look to his middle feather. His manhood was robbed due to a melanin deficiency. Broken off beard with blonde tips. I passed him up at 25 yards 2 days prior to killing him because I thought it was a fired up gobbling jake. Ended up having good 1" pencil points.

This fellow had a one way ticket to dying of old age due to his "jake" look, but owning a hen and a nice round fan gave him away.
