what color jigs do you use for walleye?

Just curious what colors you find most effective in different water clarity?

all colors

all colors seem to work at different times for me. I have learned to tie several on at the same time, while leaving slack in the line for the jig to move. It is a tricky knot but works well. (First pull slack from your rod, take the first jig and loop it through the eye. move it to the top of the rod and give it a little slack. twist the line once. take the hole left in the middle of the twist and keep it open. twist the other piece of line about five times. then pull the jig through your middle hole. wet the line with saliva and pull. the line will slide together and the jig will have an inch or two of room to move freely. repeat with next jig and tie the last to the end) Confusing, maybe, effective definitely.

Question the WIZ

I'm a full time walleye guide here in the Adirondacks on NY, and while I do have some confidence colors (chartruese, flor/orange, firetiger) I really believe that the bait and presentation are more important then the jigs color. I have experimented many times and fail to see the jigs color really made a difference. Having said that I do like to off set the baits color with that of a different color jig. (Example: I would not use a black jig with a leech). It's important to have self confidence in the lure/jig you are using so if you have a favorite color go with it.
