Who is Deep South Outfitter?
Deep South Outfitter and Plugs and Slugs Fishing Guide Service are both owned and operated by Capt. Billy Henderson. Being from Florida and growing up fishing the flats on the Gulf of Mexico has but Capt. Billy at a top ranking as a local guide for shallow water flats fishing. No other can seem to find the big redfish like Billy can. Fishing from a custom built Micro Draft Skiff makes for an awesome experience on the gulf handling water less than 6 inches deep with no problems. This enables access to the secret spots where no other skiff can go.
Deep South Outfitter is also a full service hunting outfitter guiding whitetail hunters to trophy sized buck in SE Kansas on private farms and ranches managed for big bucks. Also offered is hunts for Kansas eastern wild turkeys as well as the highly prized Osceola wild turkey located only in central and south Florida. These hunts are only done on private ground with high populations of birds.
Waterfowl hunting is another exciting experience offered by Deep South Outfitter. These hunts take place in both Kansas' central flyway and the marshes of Florida's west coast. Kansas offers top notch water-fowling with hunts from blinds on the water and layout hunts in corn and milo fields over large decoy spreads for mallards and geese. Florida offers blind hunts in the salt marsh for may different ducks with the top attraction being the favored Redheads.
For the real big game hunter there is always the wild experience of hunting trophy sized Florida alligators during the late summer season. This seems to be everyone's favorite with only bow or crossbow in hand at night on the bow of a custom alligator hunting skiff. Some of the past clients say this is the only real hunt they have ever went on! These big Florida swamp lizards can really put on a show. Truly a dangerous game hunt!
