Deerbrook Game Preserve is a family owned whitetail deer farm. Our property is located 15 miles north of Antigo WI in the town of Deerbrook (north central Wisconsin). The property was purchased in 1998. At that time, the owner had harvested most of the mature bucks. We spent 5 years enhancing the herd by using a stringent protein feeding regiment to grow large bodied deer with trophy racks.
Our property is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture to raise whitetail deer. Our deer are raised wild, we do not handled the deer. You will be picking the deer you harvest. Our guides will assist you in staying in your budget - but they do not have a specific deer picked out before you arrive. We never know what will walk out! For more details on a hunt. You may find these deer are often more leery then deer outside the preserve. They know every spot, scent and sound in their home. The property is a versatile environment including fields, pine trees, hardwood highlands and swamps.
For 2008, the Deerbrook Game Preserve will be offering guided, trophy whitetail hunts. Hunters can choose the type of hunting they like - elevated stands, ground blinds, or stalk hunting. Bow, rifle, shotgun (with slugs), handgun (high caliber) and even crossbow can be used. It is our objective to provide safe, exciting and challenging hunts.
