This is a great place to relax, rejuventate and reconnect with friends, family or fellow employees. Our guests come from many walks of life and many places. Groups of Europeans touring the National Parks of the West make a point of spending a night with us and say that their time with us is the highlight of the whole trip! Corporate Executives bring their employees here for company retreats. They hold their meetings in the morning, then enjoy various excursions in the afternoon. Families of all size reunite or join us to enjoy the back country with many of the comforts of home.
Our elk, deer and bear hunts are conducted from the Jack Creek base camp. These hunts include wholesome food, lodging, experienced mountain horses, professional guides, packing out game, airport pickup and transportation to camp. Guests sleep in either wall tents or tipis; which include a woodstove, plenty of split wood. beds, mattresses, a table and lanterns. A full-time cook serves hearty meals, family style in the cabin.
There is an excellent population of mule deer in our area and we specialize in trophy hunts. In the summer and fall, many large bucks make the rim rock ledges above timberline in the Gros Ventre Wilderness Area their home. This is a demanding hunt ranging in elevation from 9,500 feet to 11,500 feet. Those who undergo some physical conditioning before the hunt usually enjoy greater success. Although we have good horses which take most of the burden out of getting into the high country, some walking is necessary and the terrain is rugged. Our hunter success has consistently been from 95% to 100%.
